Terra Flux is a hybrid entity that unites artists, scholars, and cultural practitioners to bring about creative and intellectual responses to planetary crises, with a particular focus on climate transition. By emphasising the convergence of art and social change movements, we explore the complexities of this historical moment, examining its intersections with global economic flows, land and agriculture, networks of care, and cultural practices.

Terra Flux is distinguished by its porous structure, which fosters connections between academia, the local and international cultural scene, and the wider public. Since our inception, we have committed ourselves to fostering artistic research and processes by providing space and time for arts and cultural professionals from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. This environment encourages them to deepen their work while engaging in dialogue with Terra Flux members and associates—climate experts, academics, social scientists, and artists who are involved in movements for social change.

Since 2023, Terra Flux has expanded its scope, establishing a new site for long-term artistic research and residency projects in Sainte-Tréphine, France. With this new initiative, Terra Flux extends its welcome to a broader community of artists selected through our international networks and opportunities created in collaboration with other Terra Flux projects.
